How to arrive?
1. Nearest Airport:
The main airport for attendees is Bilbao Airport , the region’s main international gateway. It is conveniently located close to Bilbao and well connected to the public transport network.
Connection Bilbao Airport → Bilbao City Centre
The airport offers a direct public bus service linking it with the city centre.
The main connection is Bizkaibus Line A3247, which links the airport with Bilbao Intermodal and central stops such as Gran Vía and Plaza Moyua.

3. Transport Bilbao → Durango
Attendees have convenient and frequent public transport options for travelling from Bilbao to Durango.
Bus
There are regular services throughout the day (approx. 25–30 minutes´ travel time).- Line A3933 – Bilbao → Durango: Very frequent, especially during peak hours. [enbizkaia.com]
- Line A3915 – Bilbao → Durango → Ondarroa: Includes a stop in Durango and continues towards Markina Xemein and the coast. [enbizkaia.com]
- Bizkaibus also operates other routes passing through Durango, such as A3911, A3912, A3923.
- Departures take place from central bus stations in Bilbao, arriving at Durango’s main bus station.
Train
- The railway service connects Bilbao with Durango with a regular and reliable frequency.
- The journey is direct and comfortable, departing from Bilbao’s central rail network and arriving in central Durango.

- Approximate duration: 41 minutes
- Approximate frequency: trains every 30 minutes in both directions
Both options are suitable for planned journeys as well as more flexible travel.
4. Congress Transport
The congress will organise daily private bus services to facilitate travel between the different activity venues.
- Starting point: each day, buses will depart from a central meeting point in Durango.
- Organisation: detailed schedules and further information will be communicated to participants in advance.
5. Private Car Option (car rental)
For those preferring greater autonomy, several car hire companies operate at Bilbao Airport, allowing vehicles to be collected directly upon arrival.
